Research topics: family-centered care; parent education and support; Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU); implementation science; infant development; preterm infant care.

Research interests: Family-centered care interventions to improve family health outcomes.

Inspiration: I became a nurse scientist because I felt an ethical calling to address many of the challenges we face in the NICU. My love for my job and my patients inspired me to have a career in which my sole goal is to find solutions to those challenges. I work with a variety of disciplines, including medicine, psychology, neurobiology, allied health, and statistics.

PREEMIE PROGRESS Lab: Dr. Weber is Principal Investigator (PI) of the PREEMIE PROGRESS Lab, and has over a decade of experience in neonatal nursing and research. The PREEMIE PROGRESS Lab focuses on designing, testing, and translating evidence-based family-centered care (FCC) interventions, so that NICU families can safely and effectively manage infant care. Members of the PREEMIE PROGRESS lab come from a variety of health professions and specialties, and have received numerous awards and grants for their work.
